Like usual, I'm very behind on my blogging... Oh well. I've decided to not stress about keeping up with all the wonderful blogs of friends and ones that I follow online, I just simply do not have the time. So at my own rate, it is considered GREAT if I get bi-annual posts up.
Since my last post the Trussell Family has grown.... We are now a party of 5!
Lainey Elizabeth Trussell was born May 14th, 2012 and we just love her to pieces! Even though she has been with us for over 5 months now, it seems as though she has always been with us. I can't believe we ever thought we might be done after two. At 5 month's she is a big Momma's girl. The other girls were never attached to me quite like Lainey is. Sometimes that can be difficult, but for the most part, I'm just enjoying it. She has her two bottom teeth already, and is becoming much more alert. She wants to see everything that is happening!
So besides the new baby, we have been busy as ever... Richie doing hockey leagues, softball leagues, and work, work, work. Plus he just recently got a new church calling (that is his dream calling). He will be our Stake Athletic Director, which means he gets to organize all the sports leagues for our church. Emily enjoyed her maternity leave, which always goes way too fast, and now she is back at work, but she gets to take Lainey with her, such a blessing. MaKenna just finished her second soccer league. She really loves it. She got very good at swimming over the summer too. Now we are trying basketball for the first time and Richie and I are keeping our fingers crossed that she will like it since we both love playing basketball. She also is just begging to take piano lessons. This is something that I wish I would have stuck with, so I'm hoping she will learn to love it as it can be a very useful talent. She started 1st grade this year and is getting better at reading and writing. She is very good at math. Ella just finished her first time playing soccer. Her league was indoor and she played with her cousin Preston. She also is in gymnastics. On Tuesdays when my mom is babysitting her, they love to bake together. Ella is our little baker and organizer. Richie is also trying to take them skating more often and they are both getting better on their roller skates. If they get good enough we may let them start playing some hockey. Ella and MaKenna also are into the Junie B. Jones books and we look forward to me reading them a couple chapters before bed each night! With Halloween right around the corner... Ella is going to be Snow White, MaKenna a cheerleader, and Lainey a flower. Recently Richie bought me a new camera the Nikon 5100 and I love it. I'm learning how to use it and practicing my photography. Maybe, just maybe, I will post more often to show my pictures taken with my new toy!
